I will tell you one way that could be very powerful without much effort. You know how sometimes when you go to a sporting event, someone starts a wave? Do you remember the fun that it is, and the sense of togetherness you felt? Well imagine if we brought that experience to the Occupy Wall Street movement. So how do we done that? Mass marches are great, but not everyone who wants to participate can because of a thousand reasons.
I propose we have a stand in place wave. OWS picks a time and we the supporters of OWS on the East Coast start the stand in place wave for a minute. We could be silent or we could say “we are the 99%” to all those around us. It would be like a flash mob, but it would be nation-wide. Drivers could pull to the side of the road, walkers to the inside of the sidewalk, whatever, but the sense of power and excitement and shared power that we would generate, would be tremendous.
If you think about it we do a form of this every year, and it’s called the New Years Celebration. So having a stand still wave or something like that would be easy, but very powerful and scare the s@#t out of the ruling class. They want peace and quiet. The idea of the "99%" showing large scale unity would, I think rattle their cage, and make them worry about what might come next.
Just a thought.
Peace and economic justice.
